Dumfries and Galloway is a cyclist’s dream destination with hundreds of miles of roads enabling you to see our region at its very best.  Cycling tours can be organised for cyclists of varying abilities on roads and/or tracks, ensuring you take in the beautiful countryside and places of interest.

There are excellent mountain biking opportunities in our region.  The 7 Stanes are 8 mountain biking centres (two centres amalgated) spanning Southern Scotland.  The trails offer everyone, no matter how experienced, some of the world’s best mountain biking.  They stretch from the heart of Dumfries and Galloway to the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway is home to 5 of these internationally renowned mountain biking centres.  Stretching from Kirroughtree and Glentrool in the west, through Dalbeattie and Mabie to Ae there is a trail to suit all abilities and ages.

Near the Trails you will find some of the best accommodation in Scotland.  Hotels, bed and breakfasts, guest houses, inns and hotels offer comfortable accommodation and locally produced food and ales are served by our pubs, restaurants, cafes and tearooms.  This wonderful Scottish hospitality will make your visit to our region one to remember.

Hospitality Plus Scotland are happy to give advice regarding the organisation of a cycling break, including access to fully qualified, registered providers.
